Contracting a makeup artist for your wedding is a very personal endeavor. On any given day, your makeup says a great deal about you. The difference between any given day, and your wedding day is that your appearance on your wedding day will be memorialized in photographs and videos that in many cases are around for the rest of your life, and perhaps even longer! You have to find a makeup artist that you trust, that respects you and your personal style. You want to look beautiful, but you need to feel beautiful as well. The feeling part, for me at least, came with the experience that Eva provided with her service. I had several makeup trials at different salons and with independent makeup artists as well. Eva was the only one who really wanted to talk and sincerely listen to me about my hopes and dreams for my wedding and about my normal day to day style. Based on our discussions she suggested different looks that she thought would work for my vision of my wedding, but also for my personal style. In addition, Eva helped me formulate a skin care routine and suggested products that would keep my skin looking healthy which also really helped me feel beautiful! On my actual wedding day Eva was prompt in arriving to the venue despite the fact that there was heavy traffic. Staying on schedule was very important to me, and Eva respected that! Eva also did makeup for my maid of honor, my mother, and my husband’s mother. We all looked great throughout the entire night, with minimal reapplication required. Can I just give Eva 10 stars? I loved everything about her. Her level of professionalism, her personality, her warmth, and her passion for what she does makes her the BEST make up artist. I sent her some pictures of my style, and explained that I wanted a really natural look for my wedding, and she delivered! My makeup looked beautiful, and it lasted from noon to midnight without ANY re-application. From our pictures in the sun, to the ceremony, to the reception, to dancing, to biking to the beach after, and my makeup lasted through it all. I had a kids-only bridal party, and they all got a little “touch up.” Eva made each of them feel super special, and gave them just enough dazzle for the day. I booked Eva for my rehearsal dinner makeup for my Harwichport wedding in September. I didn't know anything about her, had never even looked at her work. I just needed someone at the last minute. She did such an amazing job with my rehearsal dinner makeup, I asked her to do my wedding makeup as well -- the NEXT day! She was already booked for a morning wedding, but she was able to get to me right before I walked down the aisle. Under intense pressure and time restraints she produced something AMAZING. When you compared her work to the people I'd hired for my bridesmaids, the difference was night and day. I was so incredibly thrilled that Eva was able to fit me in and the results were astounding. Eva was able to keep me looking natural, but formal. It was effortless. I got so many compliments and my mom even cried when she saw me after Eva finished. I wasn't even in my dress yet!
